Best Beeswax Tealight Candles

Tealights are one of the most popular candles you’ll find. They are great to burn for a variety of occasions, from a quiet evening reading to a relaxing bubble bath. They may be small but pure beeswax varieties of tealights still provide long burn times. Honey Candles tealights burn for 4-5 hours, giving you hours of gentle honey aroma and beeswax’s signature amber glow. We’ve compiled a list of our favourite simple steps to getting the most out of your all natural tealight experience.

Getting Your Tealight Ready
The most important thing to remember when burning tealights, is that they fully liquify. This means they must always be burned in a snug fitting cup. Some tealights come already in cups, or you can get reusable glass cups. When using a reusable glass cup you can simplify cleaning, by adding coarse salt to bottom of your cup prior to burning. Tealights have a small metal wick tab that holds the wick in place once the wax has liquified, which can sometimes stick to the glass after burning. By adding salt removing the wick tab is as simple as turning the cup over after burning.

Lighting your Tealight
Now that your all natural beeswax tealight is in its snug-fitting cup it’s time to light it. Tealight wicks do not need to be trimmed prior to burning the way some candles do. All you need to do is straighten the wick and light it at the base to encourage the wax pool formation.

Maintaining you Tealight
Now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the natural aroma and stunning illumination provided by your pure beeswax candle. One of the best things about tealights is they don’t typically require maintenance while burning. If you find your flame is flickering or smoking, ensure that the tealight is in a draft free environment.

Extinguishing your Tealight
When you are ready to extinguish your tealight keep in mind that if more than half the tealight has already burned the wax may not completely burn upon relighting. However, if you are going to extinguish your pure beeswax tealight, it is best to use a wick snuffer for a smoke free experience.

Choosing the perfect Tealight
