Pat's Beeswax Memorial Candle

April 8th is a difficult day for my family.   Two years ago on that day my beautiful daughter Haley died.  She was 28 years old.  I lost my daughter and my best friend. In memory of Haley my family had a tile laser-engraved with a photo and inset into a wooden bench.  We have the bench next to an apple tree we planted in her honor.  Every year on April 8th and on her birthday October 7th we burn a 3” Honey Candles® Pillar sheltered in a container by the bench.  We burn it day and night until the beeswax is all gone.   This is often more than 48 hours.

I like to believe that somewhere she can see the flame and know it is for her.  It is comforting to sit in quiet thought on the bench.  Within the dark silence and the warm golden glow of a beeswax candle, I can feel her warm embrace.  It helps to quiet my heart.

I had the good fortune to be hired at Honey Candles in the fall of 2004. Experience managing a small rural printing business and 15 years as an elected public school trustee has been a benefit as Honey Candles moves through the need for flexibility and the demands of rapidly changing natural products marketing. I am the Sales Manager and most likely to be the one answering the phone when you call. Social Media and blogging for Honey Candles has been a recent addition to my list of skills.
