Liven Up Your Hallowe'en Creations with Beeswax Candles

beeswax candles halloweenDo you use beeswax candles at Hallowe’en to light up your Jack o’ Lantern? If you don’t and have never tried them you are in for a treat. When you use beeswax tealights or votives instead of paraffin you will notice a least two things.

The light shining through at you from the orangey pumpkin face will be so much livelier than if you used paraffin or soy candles. The glow of beeswax is warm, inviting and it is bright! Of course if that is a scary face looking at you the brightness is what you will notice most. Try it yourself. If you have two Jack o’ Lanterns put a regular paraffin tealight in one and a beeswax tealight in another. See which one you like better.

It will likely outlast the ghosts and goblins coming to your door. Beeswax tealights certainly will burn longer than the same sized paraffin or soy tealight.

If you like to set your Jack o’Lantern in the window inside don’t worry if it’s lit up with a beeswax tealight. There are no toxins emitted when you burn beeswax. This is not true of paraffin.

So make your pumpkin bright and ghoulish this year. The trick and treaters are gonna love it!
