Celebrate Earth Hour and the Coming of Spring

Celebrate Earth Hour and the Coming of Spring

Feb 27, 2015 By Pat Cattermole

Earth Hour 2015 is this Saturday, March 28th. It is has been a long and harsh winter in many parts of North America. I think we should celebrate the coming of spring at the same time as we celebrate Earth Hour. Make it bright and cheery when you turn off the lights this year. Use lots of beeswax candles in beautiful vibrant colors. Honey Candles uses enviro-dyes  in our colored beeswax candles. We are pleased to be able to offer you lovely non-toxic candles in colors cheerful enough to chase winter away.

It is important to celebrate Earth Hour to remind us that it doesn’t hurt to save energy and can only be good for the planet. For an hour this Saturday at 8:30 PM, shut off the TV, stop texting and enjoy the company of friends and family in an old fashioned way. Play a game, talk rather than text and do it all by beautiful candlelight!

I had the good fortune to be hired at Honey Candles in the fall of 2004. Experience managing a small rural printing business and 15 years as an elected public school trustee has been a benefit as Honey Candles moves through the need for flexibility and the demands of rapidly changing natural products marketing. I am the Sales Manager and most likely to be the one answering the phone when you call. Social Media and blogging for Honey Candles has been a recent addition to my list of skills.
