When I think of classic candles I think about tapered candles. I have visions of an elegant dinner table with beautifully burning tapers creating ambiance and romance. How about you?

We know so much about air quality and the benefits of burning natural beeswax candles now that vision must include natural beeswax tapered candles. Naturally long burning we have eleven colors besides our original Natural available for you when you choose to burn pure natural beeswax Tapers from Honey Candles®. If you want Red, Burgundy or warm White for Valentine’s Day or your holiday table, we have it.  Our Dark Brown or Tangerine is great for Thanksgiving or your fall décor. Spring Crocus at Easter will brighten up a room next to a daffodil bouquet. Any of our colors are worth considering to complete your wedding colors. Be assured that our colors are made with an enviro-dye that is safe.

Candle care is very important when you choose Honey Candles® Tapers. We do not add chemicals to prevent drips. They are natural beeswax. They are virtually dripless and will not drip under ideal conditions. Add a fan, an open door or window or busy guests coming and going from the table and the environment is no longer ideal. If your beautifully set table includes a nice tablecloth or is made of fine wood I would suggest a little safety assurance. Put a nice plate or equivalent under your taper holders. Just in case. You never know beeswax taper candlewhen something may change. A guest is suddenly warm and opens the window or door or reaches for the fan. It may save your tablecloth or table if you have a plate under the taper holders as the photo shows above. To make it part of the decor add some cinnamon hearts for Valentine’s, some ornaments for Christmas or some appropriate bling for a dinner party. If you are lucky enough to find some bobeches to fit over the bottom of the tapers to catch drips (see the photo on the left) that works very well but they aren’t always easy to find. I was lucky enough to inherit a pair. Always remember to keep your taper wick at a half inch. If it is shorter this may be a cause of dripping as well. The wax melts but there is not enough flame to burn it up before it spills over the side.

We all know to NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED but other than that do you take any precautions when you burn candles? We would love for you to share them with our readers.

I had the good fortune to be hired at Honey Candles in the fall of 2004. Experience managing a small rural printing business and 15 years as an elected public school trustee has been a benefit as Honey Candles moves through the need for flexibility and the demands of rapidly changing natural products marketing. I am the Sales Manager and most likely to be the one answering the phone when you call. Social Media and blogging for Honey Candles has been a recent addition to my list of skills.
